Social Responsibility among Special Education Students

Abstract

The researcher aimed to identify the social responsibility of special education students, as well as the significance of statistical differences in the social responsibility of special education students, depending on the variables (stage, age, birth order, disability, gender). Then the comparative descriptive approach was used, and the study population reached (275) students, and the sample reached (100) students who were randomly selected from among the students in the Department of Special Education at the University of Duhok. The researchers relied on a test prepared by (Qasim, 1992, 4) to measure social responsibility, which consists of (53) items. Where the data received in the research were treated statistically using the Statistical Bag for Social Sciences (SPSS). The t.test for one sample, the t.test for two independent samples, the analysis of variance test, and the posttest for (L.S.D) for comparison between groups and Cronbach's alpha correlation coefficient were applied. For the stability of the scales. Where the results showed: Significant differences in the sense of responsibility among special education students, depending on the variables (age, stage, birth order, is there a disability, gender,).

  2. According to the stage variable, there are no differences between the sense of responsibility of special education students at different levels.
  3. According to the variable of birth sequence, there are differences in the sense of responsibility in favor of the first category of special education students

4.According to the variable of owning a disability, there are no differences in the sense of responsibility of special education students.

5.According to the variable of social gender, there are no differences in the sense of responsibility for special education students.

Therefore, the researcher reached the most important conclusions and recommendations that serve the research.
