Using the Binary Logistic Regression Model to Determine the Most Important Factors That Lead to the Migration of Doctors in Khartoum State during the Year 2019
Abstract
The migration of doctors in Sudan in general and the state of Khartoum in particular is considered one of the most important indicators of the quality and efficiency of the health care program in general, and the state of Khartoum is one of the states with a high rate of doctors ’migration outside Sudan. The study aimed To: determine the most important factors that lead to the emigration of doctors in the state of Khartoum to outside Sudan, and to build a mathematical model or models that enables the identification of the most important factors that lead to the migration of doctors in the state of Khartoum to outside the Sudan. The study used the descriptive analytical method and relied on preliminary data collected from random sample of 200 male and female doctors in the state of Khartoum. The study reached a number of results, the most important of them: that the factors that lead to the potential migration of doctors in the state of Khartoum outside Sudan are: (increasing prices, economic inflation and increasing consumer goods, weak and low wages, lack of devices and equipment Medical and its weakness, lack of amenities and safety in hospitals, large family size and expansion in marriage, polygamy and many social obligations Towards the extended family, arrests, harassment that occurs to some doctors by the competent agencies, political and security instability), that all the models that have been reached are statistically significant and have high classification likelihood ratios, and the study concluded with a number of recommendations the most important of them: the need to provide a work environment Appropriate and safe that enables doctors in the state of Khartoum to carry out their duties, tasks and stability in their workplaces, and intensify the competent authorities in their efforts to increase salaries, financial allocations, incentives and allowances for doctors in the state of Khartoum in order to reduce the phenomenon of doctors' migration abroad and work to reduce arrests and questions for doctors for political reasons by the security and justice agencies .
