Abstract

 The form of description and dialogue is the most prominent means of storytelling, as no narrator can abandon them in one way or the other. Therefore, novelists and storytellers have been keen on optimizing the use of these two elements, and the narrator resorts to description to slow down the narrative time and give a mental picture of people and scenes, and the description works to bridge the narrative gap that may occur in the fictional text, as well as what the description provides to the reader about the idea of ​​the story and its intent The writer, defining the nature of the characters, and the description is an auxiliary element for the narration, and the narration cannot dispense with the description; Therefore, the description is useful in the narration and the developer of the event, so if the narration works to reveal the events, then the description helps to build the language of the story and give many descriptions of the character, the place and the assets. The stories of Haitham Behnam Barada were distinguished by this phenomenon, as the storyteller was able to use this technique artistically and aesthetically.
