Abstract

The current research aims to:

1- Building the academic integration scale for students of the Department of History 0

2- Knowing the level of academic integration among students of the Department of History.

That the students participated to a large degree in the academic activities at the university institution and spent a lot of energy in the study, and spent most of their time on campus, and actively participated in the student organizations, and interacted a lot with the faculty members and other students, and this is consistent with what was confirmed by Esten ( (Astin states that the integration of students academically occurs through three areas, namely the field of academic participation, which refers to a set of characteristics, features, and types of complex behavior represented by the student's hard work in his studies, the number of hours spent studying, and interest in the curriculum, And good study habits. The field of participation with faculty members is that the student’s participation with faculty members is strongly related to student’s satisfaction with his university experience. The student who interacts with faculty members experiences satisfaction with all aspects of his experience in the educational institution more than other students with what these experiences include in terms of friendships from other students. , The diversity of the curricula, the educational environment, and even the university institution administration. And the field of engagement with peers, as Astin believes that peer groups may be the most important factor affecting a student's cognitive and emotional development. Students' relationships with each other (including discussing course content with other students, working on group projects, and teaching other students are positively related to improvement).
