Electronic Addiction and its Negative Effects on the Behavior of Children who Use Smart Devices

(A Field Study In Baghdad)

Abstract

It is not absent on our thinking that the social media means have real risks .They are not mere lifeless solid devices but it transmit a kind of deformed life with all it carries of values , morals and behaviors that the children adopts through intensive attraction  as a result of desire and fascination in which many things introduced in it .From that point we aware the importance and the risk of these means either it was on the individual or on the society where we have a problem  in coming of easy obedient generation and submission .That what motivate us to study this subject. This research aims to learn the negative effects that are caused by abundant use of technology elements. The most important results this study reaches were the following :

• (70%) subjects response that their children live in social separation .
• (56%) subjects indicate that the excessive use of internet influenced the psychological situation of their children .
• (56%)of the subjects feels boring and annoyance when the internet breakoff .
• (52%)of the sample subjects mentioned that their children can't let social media web sites.

The recommendations   of this research

• Direct the children and juveniles trends in the aim to learn thinking and this matter shall be the axis of education process in which the children have the knowledge keys without exhausting the mind with nonfunctional things.

2- Work on developing awareness and guidance programs about these means and its effects on the children education by the right guidance for children to determine the value of this invention in which it suits and form the good personality of the child and provide him with knowledge and experience about the importance of use computer and Internet  .
