Educational Museums to Enrich the growth of the Pre-school Children in KSA
Abstract
Museums are a cultural platform and a linking bridge between past, present and future. It is the door to the heritage of different cultures of the world. Rather, it is an educational, historical, and cultural platform that brings together different ages, nationalities, and interests to form the characteristics of civilized societies as a source of economic income, a tourist, entertainment, and cultural landmark, in addition to its contribution to spreading scientific knowledge among members of society. Therefore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since a long time ago, has been keen to support and encourage museums. Then the Saudi vision 2020 has beed established the Museums Authority under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture, emphasizing the educational and cultural role that museums play for the country. From here, the importance of the research comes as it sheds light on contemporary children's art museums in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enrich the developmental process of pre-school children. The research problem comes by answering the following question:
Do Saudi museums contribute to enriching the growth of pre-school children?
The objectives of this research are:
- Identifying the role played by children's museums in enriching the developmental process of pre-school children
- Identifying the developmental aspects of pre-school children through museum education.
The research relied on the exploratory analytical approach based on analyzing documents and interpreting them scientifically and accurately to reach the results that support this research, namely: The role played by contemporary art museums in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enrich the developmental process of pre-school children. In addition to the various development aspects that museums contribute to enriching. The recommendations were the need to pay attention to contemporary children's museums in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia because of its positive impact on the upbringing of pre-school children.
