Dialogue in Diwan Al-Shuwaili (On a Plate of a Female)

Abstract

Interest in intertextual and dialogic studies came shortly after structural studies, even though the dialogical phenomenon was in ancient literature, both poetry and prose. Critical studies indicate that the West was the first to originate it and other terms, to the point that the Arab critic became on the margins of critical leadership, while there are indications in The ancient and modern critical lesson alluded to these and other terms and concepts. It is worth noting that the Qur’anic discourse included dialogue in several places. In ancient poetry, Imru' al-Qais's commentary occupied a significant space, and the scholar of glory notices the contradictions between Al-Farazdaq and Jarir, which form a dialogue involving conflict and controversy between them. As for prose, Hariri’s maqamat are based on dialogue. Our study came in the collection of Ali Al-Shuwaili (On a Dish of a Female) because of its qualitative dialogue and according to several styles. Therefore, the research was divided into six axes, which included in the introduction a definition of dialogue linguistically and terminologically, and an indication of its relationship to other techniques. The first point of the research included implicit dialogue, then multiple voices, then Phonetic dualism, then we studied the dialogic structure, then the dialogue is vision and formation, and the last point is presence and absence. The research concluded with a summary of the most important findings that the research reached, followed by a list of sources and references. Finally, I pray to God Almighty not to punish me if I forget, for He is the One who repents.
