Analysis of Atudy plans for Teaching Criminal Law in Public Jordanian Universities
(A case study on reforming study plans for the Bachelor of Law major)

This study aims to analyze and evaluate academic subjects related to criminal law within the teaching plans for the law major in seven official Jordanian universities (University of Jordan, Yarmouk University, Mu'tah University, Al al-Bayt University, Al-Balqa Applied University, Al-Hussein bin Talal University, and the International Islamic Sciences University). Collecting the study plans of the mentioned official Jordanian universities, a comprehensive and detailed comparative analysis of the compulsory and elective requirements was conducted.
A number of results were reached, the most important of which is that there is a general national consensus among the official Jordanian universities that teach the specialty of law regarding the compulsory requirements related to criminal law. On the other hand, there is a high level of disparity in the number and percentage of elective subjects offered that are related to criminal law.
Based on the results and conclusions reached, the study suggested working to strengthen teaching materials related to computer crimes and digital technologies.
