Abstract

This paper aims to critically review a recent literary book entitled "Poetic Formation Techniques in Contemporary Arabic Poetry: A Study of the Structure of the Contemporary Poem," authored by Dr. Issam Abdel Salam Shartouh. The book explores the most prominent innovative poetic formations that reflect textual experiments and techniques, reinforcing the poetic movement in modernist poems. Just as poetry changes in terms of its styles and visions, techniques also evolve as a result of the emergence of new stylistic indicators in the structure of these poems, which vary in their connotations and structures according to their emotional drivers and multiple poetic objectives. This indicates that new poetic techniques are the product of stylistic changes in the form and formative structure of the poem.
