تجارب الدول المتقدمة في الاستفادة من الطلاب الدوليين اقتصاديًا وسبل تطبيقها بالسعودية

الملخص
تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى استكشاف الأثر الاقتصادي للطلاب الدوليين في مؤسسات التعليم العالي في الدول المتقدمة، وسبل الاستفادة من تجارب تلك الدول في المملكة العربية السعودية. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي، وجرى اختيار الولايات المتحدة، بريطانيا، كندا، فرنسا، أستراليا، وروسيا، نظرًا لكونها من أكبر الدول المستضيفة للطلاب الدوليين في كلياتها وجامعاتها. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن اقتصاديات الدول الست المستهدفة قد استفادت من تواجد الطلاب الدوليين. وأظهرت النتائج أن الطلاب الدوليين أسهموا في نمو الناتج المحلي الإجمالي للولايات المتحدة بأكثر من 40 مليار دولار أمريكي، وفي بريطانيا بأكثر من 41 مليار جنيه إسترليني، وفي كندا بأكثر من 37 مليار دولار كندي، وفي أستراليا بما يقارب 29 مليار دولار استرالي للعام 2022. أما في فرنسا وروسيا، فكانت مساهمة الطلاب الدوليين الاقتصادية محدودة نسبياً. قدمت الدراسة مقترحات لتعزيز آليات استقطاب الطلاب الدوليين إلى مؤسسات التعليم العالي في المملكة العربية السعودية، مستندة إلى تجارب الدول الست المستهدفة بالدراسة.
