Abstract

The research deals with the study of the geographical distribution of commercial and industrial stores in Al-Hussein neighborhood for the year 2021 and the problems resulting from them. It represents 18.40%. Through the research, two patterns of geographical distribution were distinguished, representing the first pattern in the central commercial district, which was represented by Street 20, which contained the largest number of shops in the neighborhood. The second pattern represented the distribution of shops to commercial and residential streets in the neighborhood, such as Generator Street and Street 40 Al-Sakani Street and the Public Street. The restaurants category ranked first in terms of number and distribution in the neighborhood. It also appeared through the research that the juxtaposition of commercial shops with small industrial service shops spread in the neighborhood leads, in the absence of prior planning or high effectiveness of the legal and supervisory role and its application, to create a number of problems, especially for the owners of residential areas where they spread, such as noise and environmental pollution and affecting the service network. It also works to create many problems related to the different traffic paths, such as congestion and overtaking on the sidewalks designated for pedestrians by exploiting them by the owners of commercial and industrial stores, which leaves many solid and liquid waste that the residents of the neighborhood express dissatisfaction with.
