Analysis of the Problems Facing Teaching Arabic as a Third Language in Middle Schools in China
Abstract
In recent years, with the increasingly close exchanges between countries, Arabic has become more and more extensive. In order to meet the society's demand for Arabic talents, in addition to colleges and universities, some middle schools in China have successively opened Arabic majors as a multilingual or elective subject to cultivate compound talents.
Through the method of questionnaire survey and material integration, this paper collects and analyzes the Arabic teaching schools, the number of students, the nature of the curriculum, and the relevant textbooks in China’s domestic middle schools. At the same time, put forward suggestions related to teaching Arabic as a third language in China, hoping to improve the current educational situation, and perhaps be useful for teaching in other multilingual teaching.
